Clothing Order
Good Afternoon BHJH Families!
We are excited to share with you that we now have an e-store through Fundy Textile for BHJH school clothing!! There are a number of clothing and logo options for our students to choose from. Orders can be placed directly though the e-store link below. Families can choose to pick up directly from Fundy Textile or pick up at the school. The school will be picking up from Fundy Textile on a weekly basis and Mrs. Burry will then distribute clothing orders to students from the school office as they become available.

Use of SafeArrival Beginning Monday, January 16th
Dear BHJH Families,
Bible Hill Junior High will be using a new student attendance system that will reduce the time it takes to verify student attendance, make it easy for you to report your child’s absence and easy for staff to respond to unexplained student absences.
Starting January 16, please report absences in advance using SafeArrival instead of sending notes or calling/emailing the school. As of January 16, staff will begin using the SafeArrival notifications to let you know if your student is absent (when you haven’t reported the absence in advance).
If you have children attending other schools, please continue to report absences using the existing procedures for those schools until they share they are also moving to SafeArrival.
WHAT IS SAFE ARRIVAL?
Safe Arrival is a phone app that allows parents and guardians to notify the school in advance about an upcoming absence or rapidly respond to excuse an absence after the fact. In both situations, parents/guardians can send attendance alerts to schools for all of their children and provide a reason for each absence – all in one simple communication.
USING SAFE ARRIVAL
With SafeArrival, you are asked to report your child’s absence in advance using any of these 3 convenient methods:
1. Using your mobile device, download and install the SchoolMessenger app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store (or from the links go.schoolmessenger.ca). The first time you use the app, select Sign Up to create your account. Select Attendance then Report an Absence.
2. Use the SafeArrival website, go.schoolmessenger.ca. The first time you use the website, select Sign Up to create your account. Select Attendance then Report an Absence.
3. Call the toll-free number [1-833-578-0533] to report an absence using the automated phone system.
These options are available 24 hours/day, 7 days a week. Future absences can be reported at any time.
ATTENDANCE NOTIFICATIONS
The automated notification system will contact parents whose child is absent when the absence was not reported in advance.
· Families will receive a notice 30 minutes after the start of the school day. For BHJH, this will be at 9:25 am.
· Families will also receive an attendance message at 5:30 p.m., and have until 10:00 p.m. to submit a reason for their child’s absence.
The automated notification system will attempt to contact parents/guardians at multiple contact points until a reason is submitted for the absence.
If you report your child’s absence in advance using the SafeArrival toll-free number, website or mobile app, you will NOT receive these notifications.
